[Background] Train
[Personality] The first thing you should know about Train is that he is like a stray cat. He goes where he wants to, when he wants to. He’s not exactly considerate when it comes to letting people know where or when he’s going somewhere. It became quite a common practice for him to be there at night time and gone the morning after without so much of a word or letter as to where he went. Sven and Eve just got to the point that they would just say, “He’ll be back when he gets hungry.” He’s a free spirit and nothing/no one will hold him down.
One excellent example of his random disappearance act is when it has anything to with Creed. As soon as he hears news about Creed, he’d be gone in pursuit of him in the middle of the night while everyone else is sleeping. Sven always seems to catch up in time before he’d do anything stupid. He’s absurdly reckless when it comes to Creed. Needless to say, Sven always makes sure to punch him a few times to point out how stupid and reckless Train was acting.
He does have his moments where he’s absolutely reckless and even stupid. Most of the time, it has some connection to Creed; although he does have times where he’s just being really stupid without that connection. The time when he was hit by Lucifer (a bullet that was still in a testing phase containing nano technology in it; it was said that each one had random side effects. His just so happened to make him younger physically) while going to Sven’s rescue, he simply brushed it as if it was a simple cold. Once Sven said it seemed to have some sort of nanotechnology, but it seemed to be different from what Eve had, he had the bright idea to try to grow wings. Needless to say, he decided to jump out of the window to try to grow wings and crashed to the ground. He’s also drank a bottle of alcohol to keep from an old man pitying himself any further. He’d never drank prior to that and really didn't take in account the effects that would come from foolishly drinking at least half a bottle of alcohol. That being said though, he does have good intentions.
Once he becomes close to someone, he becomes pretty loyal to them. He’ll do a lot for the people he cares about under the guise of his own personal gain. That’s not true though and will make excuses as to why he’s helping people out when he really just felt the need to help them. (I.E. It’s not because of you. I’m doing this because a bounty means money. You just happened to be in the way at the time.) He puts his trust in his closest allies. While that’s true, it doesn't necessarily mean that he’ll trust just anybody. In fact, it takes a lot for him to really trust you. The only person he really trusts the most enough to – for the most part – not question and just follow what’s being said would be Sven.
If you go from his earlier days as a child or Chronos Eraser, the word lackadaisical would not apply to Train at all. Once he left Chronos, he became very lackadaisical and went about his business without a care in the world. There’s always a time and place, but he’ll even be this easy going while catching a bounty. He’d give off smart ass comment or seem very casual about catching the bounty to lighten up the mood a little. He does take his bounties serious…. sometimes…? While Durham was trying to track him down, he just so happened to be passing by Durham and Eve and acted very casual about it. Because calmly saying, “Hey I know you. You tried to kill me,” as if saying he liked milk is interesting all on its own (in the anime).
Saya pointed out to him that “he wore his heart on his sleeve”. Of course Train denied that, but it’s very true. He has a hard time hiding how he feels about something. People tend to pick up on his emotions fairly easily. Maybe that’s why he doesn't really lie much? That being said, he is a bit of tsundere at times; although he’s not exactly the affectionate type. He won’t tell you his feelings very often and doesn't really understand them half the time.
Train was never all that talkative in the first place. He’s the kind of guy who acts more through actions than ever expressing anything in words. That was probably one of the many reasons Train was Chronos’ number one Eraser. He does get a little more friendly and talkative as the story progresses, but even then he tends to keep to himself. He’s not the kind of guy who would randomly go up to a stranger and strike up a conversation. In fact, you’d almost have to have someone talk to him first. Once you become friends with him, he tends to be more talkative.
He’s a very straight forward person. He doesn't like to beat around the bush, she he comes off as very blunt. No sense talking in circles just to explain something that could be easily said bluntly. He’ll say what’s on his mind most of the time, as long it doesn't really have any emotionally influenced stuff. He really has no reason to lie and thus he’s usually pretty honest with what he says. The only thing he really won’t talk to about unless there’s really no way around it is his past and especially what he calls, “his pet cat days.” If anything, he doesn't particularly lie as much as he just leaves out details every now and then. Sven did note that he does tend to change the subject when he’s avoiding a topic. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.
While he was in Chronos and even while he was a kid trying to kill Zagine, he really didn't care about the fact that he could easily kill someone without any kind of remorse behind it. All he wanted was to get his revenge on Zagine, but that was thwarted when someone else got to him before he could. Once Saya taught him he didn't have to follow what other people ordered him to do, he began to do things he actually wanted. Up until then, he never really thought he had any kind of say in that kind of stuff. Saya taught him that it was okay to be a stray cat.
From that moment on, he swore to himself that he wouldn't kill another living person. Even when it came down to killing Creed, in the end he just took away the powers that allowed him to live the way he did; He allowed Creed to live as a normal human being because it would be much more effective when it dealt with living with the consequences. At most, he would just knock someone out.
The one most obvious thing about Train, aside from acting like a cat, is that he’s a black hole when it comes to food. He can easily deplete 3/4th of the money that they earn on bounties with his appetite. So much so that Sven has officially dubbed his eating habits as his “Eat like a pig and live of Sven for free” plan. It doesn't stop there. He’s stated that he can easily drink down at least 10 bottles of milk per day. He’s not exactly someone you want to treat to a meal if you value your money.
Train is also a glutton for danger and his recklessness doesn't stop for anything. He’s normally reckless for sure, but nothing will ever surpass how bad he gets when it comes to Creed. It’s like flipping a light switch and then he’s gone. He loves danger and he tends to be a thrill seeker in a sense. He’d even announce that he was a Sweeper, just to add danger and excitement to catching a bounty. He’s all about taking risks and if it’s too easy to achieve something, it’s no fun.
While he’s no perfectionist with everything that he does, he appears to be that way when it comes to his skills. He said that his skills were getting rusty when he missed 2 shots while practicing. He shot 6 shots in a can and 4 of them went in the same exact hole. He seems to have a perfectionist attitude when it comes down to skill and will spend all day just to work on it.
[Abilities] Train has no super powers like Tao or the use of nanotechnology, but he's an expert gunman. His pistol, Hades, is his primary weapon. He's very agile and fast. His aim is nearly perfect, but of course, he can't take the role of perfection just yet. He also has the ability to use a power called “Railgun” just because of that short amount of time he was affected by Tao; Although, it takes a lot of power and his current limit is at 3 shots.
It’s not really noted that much in the series, but at some point he tells Sven that he can remember what he reads, leading to a photographic memory. His specialty is mostly faces, although it would probably do him good if he read books like Eve does. Sven also mentioned that while he has this ability, he also tends to forget unimportant or uninteresting things within 3 seconds. That leads me to believe that he does have a photographic memory as stated, but he also has a very selective memory.
[Are you bringing in a canon element?] Other than Hades, his gun…. Not really?
[Other important stuff] Train has been here before, so he has his memories from the last time he was here. I don’t know if it’s really an important detail, but most of his special bullets and trinkets were all things that Sven made/invented. Of course, being stuck in Somarium, he’ll no longer have access to those. He also hates bugs (something that I forgot all about until I reread). He’s also ambidextrous, but it is stated that he is originally left handed.

If you were to describe yourself in one sentence, what would that be?
I’d have to say it depends, but I guess if I have to fight, I’ll fight. Just don’t really expect much if it’s a petty fight. I might just end up walking off… Maybe…
Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
Nope. I could care less about power. If you’re so concerned about power hungry individuals, I have somebody you’d love to meet.
Someone is trying to rob you! What do you do?
Hey! Hey! Hey! Back off man! It’s not easy to live off of what you make in bounties alone!
Would you consider yourself a hero or a villain? Why? Neither is an option as well, but still tell why.
If you go by my past, I was probably a villain to many people. Although, I wouldn't say that I’m a ‘hero’. I’m a Sweeper by choice because I feel that’s the right way to live and help people.
You're asked to take someone out for a date. Do you agree? If so, describe what you would do. If not, tell why.
Uh…. Do I have to? Although, if you’re paying for dinner, it might not be so bad….
You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response.
In the past, I would have finished any mission in record time without fail. Now, it just depends on what it is and if I’m the one who wants to do it. Although, If it’s a bounty, I’m usually quick about it.
Murder. What is your opinion?
I have had enough blood on my hands to continue that way of life. There are other ways to go about it.
You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why?
Wow…. Talk about being put between a rock and a hard place…. Do you know how hard it would be to just let the bastard go who put my friend in that position in the first place? In the end, I would end up going to save my friend first…. And then attempt to take the bastard down if possible.
What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why?
I never knew the importance of having friends before “Black Cat” died and became a Sweeper. In the end, I really can’t say either or. It’s good to have balance over both of them. It just suits my stray cat life style, after all.
The hottest boy/girl in class/workplace just confessed their love to you. How do you respond?
I don’t really care. I would just walk off. I have no time for things like relationships, even if I did have an interest in that.
You just got a challenge to fight from one of the strongest gang leaders around. Do you accept or reject? Why?
I really don’t care, to be honest. If they persist, I may have to just deal with them quickly. Although, danger has always been a personal favorite of mine, so it may be tempting.
Would you consider yourself a well-traveled person? If so, what are some of your favorite places? If not, would you want to travel or is there some place you want to go?
By trade….? Yes. You have to keep moving around for good bounty and money. We do have a lot of different hide outs at least. I really can’t say that I have a favorite, honestly.
Do you prefer adventure or the peaceful life?
You know another word for peaceful? Boring. Life is about adventure and danger. If you don’t have that, what fun is there?
You're dirt poor and your family is starving. You have a chance to steal bread. Do you: a) ignore it and get a job, b) steal it anyway because you know you won't get caught, c) get caught but break out of prison anyway, d) steal it and then hide from the creepy cop that keeps stalking you, e) don't steal because stealing is wrong :(. Explain why you chose that option.
Story of my life. That just means that I’ll have to find another bounty to catch. It keeps me busy, if nothing else.
If you could change your current lifestyle or job career, what would it be?
Nope. There’s nothing better than setting your own hours and doing your job on your own terms.
Can you surpass God?
Don’t even go there. That’s not funny.
What pleases you the most?
Milk. Oh… and a lot of free food.
[Third Person] Most people who came here were often confused and out of place. They had a lot of questions concerning where they were, how they got here, and what this device was that was next to them when they came to. They would spend their time figuring out the answers to all of these questions and maybe even explore a little to get their bearings. Maybe they would search for people they knew or blame other people from their world as to why they were here. They would become so insistent that they would not stay here and just take things as they came.
Train wasn't one of these people. In fact, he spent no time doing any of the things that were “normal” for newcomers. Where were they? By the look of everything here… it looked like that one dreamworld that was called by many of the people that also ended up in this place as Somarium. How did they get there? He’d been here for how long prior to this and he still didn't know that answer. What device was this? It was obviously a Dreamberry, which was still a weird name for it, but who was he to say anything? He had no reason to figure out his surroundings when he’s been here before. It looks like things had changed, but it was definitely what he remembered.
And then the next question that came to mind was…. Was there anybody that he knew here? He was the only one from his world last time he came here, besides the short time that Saya was there. He really doubted anyone else could have come here, but it didn't hurt to check. Checking his contacts, he stopped after seeing a name. He’d scrolled down a little too far, so he ended up scrolling back up. Eve. Eve was here? He couldn't very well say that Somarium was any worse than back home, but he wasn't sure how he felt about knowing that Eve was stuck here.
It looked like there was one thing for sure that he could do instead of wander around without a purpose. He could search for Eve. Checking to make sure that Hades was in his possession, he carried on as he tried to contact Eve. Nothing. Well, there was nothing that he could do at the moment. One thing he knew for sure was that he was definitely hungry. Checking to see how much money he had on him, he realized he really didn't have much. That was normal. Even if he had the right amount of currency, there was nothing to say that it was the same currency that Somarium used. It had been so long he couldn't remember what was used here for sure.
“Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try to find some milk, at least,” he thought out loud, heading off towards where he thought would be Somni.
It didn't take long until he realized that things had definitely changed in his absence. The map that he had on his Dreamberry didn't match his surroundings.
“What happened here….?” he questioned himself, not exactly expecting an answer.
Whatever it was, something was definitely at work here. Maybe this somewhat peaceful place that he remembered did require the use of his gun. Either way, he had to be careful and now that he was seeing this… he wondered if Eve was really okay here.
“It looks like things have gotten a lot more dangerous around here…. My kind of place,” he gave off a small grin as he continued on his search to find Eve and possibly some food. That was…. If he had the money for it.
[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] I had him at Somarium a few years ago and I really enjoyed playing him here. I really do miss Somarium as a whole, so I’d really like to come back to it.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] My favorite rule is still probably god-modding because it’s just ridiculous when you've attack someone enough in a fight and they don’t even have a scratch.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] I don’t even remember anymore, but I was here before.
[Any questions?] Not that I can think of.
